The "Bazar" (or Bazaar) defines commerce for 40% of the world's population. It is open, chaotic, social, and resilient. Yet, as the world moves to digital payments and e-commerce, these physical markets risk being left behind.
OpenBazar.xyz was founded to solve the invisibility problem. We believe that a rug merchant in Istanbul or a street food chef in Bangkok should have access to the same technological superpowers as a giant retailer—without losing the human touch that makes them special.
What We Are Not
We are not associated with the now-defunct OpenBazaar cryptocurrency protocol. While we admire the spirit of decentralized trade, our focus is on physical, open-air markets and the real humans who work in them.
